Undergraduate Tutoring · Online & in London

University maths, made to fit.

One-to-one tutoring for university students who need to genuinely understand it — econometrics & statistics, maths and physics. Weekly through the year, or intensively before a deadline or resit. Taught by an Oxford MPhil and an LSE econometrics lecturer of eight years.

Why a specialist matters

University maths moves fast, and the lectures don't wait.

The jump from school to a maths-heavy degree is steep. Lectures cover in fifty minutes what school spread over a fortnight, the problem sets are unforgiving, and it's easy to fall a week behind and never quite recover — especially in econometrics and statistics, where the notation hides ideas that nobody slows down to explain.

A generalist tutor can help with first-year calculus. Far fewer can sit with you in a real econometric proof, a measure-theoretic probability problem or a Lagrangian and make it obvious. That's the level I work at every day — and exactly what I teach at the LSE.

What I tutor

Three things I know deeply

Pick the one that fits — or book a call and we'll work out exactly what you need.

My speciality

Econometrics & Statistics

Undergraduate & master's level

Regression and inference, time series and panel data, maximum likelihood, the theory behind the estimators — and the applied statistics that economics, finance, psychology and the social sciences are built on. This is what I teach at the LSE; there are few people in London better placed to coach it.

My training

Maths & Physics

Pure, applied & mathematical methods

Real and complex analysis, linear algebra, multivariable calculus, differential equations, probability, mechanics and the mathematical methods that underpin engineering and physics. My own training — Maths, Physics and Engineering at France's most selective schools — was built on precisely this.

Exam Resits

When passing is non-negotiable

Fell short in a module or paper and have to pass the resit? That's its own discipline: diagnose precisely what went wrong, rebuild the weak foundations fast, and drill exam technique under timed conditions. Intensive, focused, and built backwards from your resit date — including the summer resit window.

Fast diagnosis Targeted rebuild Timed practice Tight deadlines

How it works

Weekly, or when you need it

Year-long, weekly

Standing one-to-one sessions across the term or year. We stay a step ahead of your lectures, turn problem sets from a weekly struggle into a routine, and walk into every exam genuinely prepared.

Punctual & intensive

A focused block before a deadline, a topic that won't click, an exam or a resit. Ideal when you don't need a whole year — just the right help, fast, at exactly the right moment.

Every session is taught live on an iPad over Zoom, and recorded for you — with notes and a summary after each lesson. See how that works →

Why me

An LSE econometrics lecturer who has tutored at this level for twelve years.

An Oxford MPhil in Economics, award-winning teaching at the LSE, and a French Maths-Physics-Engineering training that means analysis and econometrics are equally home turf. You're not getting a recent graduate revising alongside you — you're getting someone who teaches and examines this material for a living.
